The Virus Has Won

…either that, or Bernie Sanders has already been elected President.

Health care for Covid is now FREE! And that of course includes for illegal immigrants.

Student debt payment suspended!

Nobody has to pay their landlords any more, indefinitely. Shelter is a human right and now it’s free!

Nobody has to pay their creditors any more!

We’re all going to get a guaranteed income, on condition that we’re NOT working!

COME ON, our Don! Do you think people will give these socialist goodies up, any more than they did after FDR?

I don’t blame Trump, but please: get an “economic cure” task force assembled and start holding daily briefings on that.

  1. I am not tracking all of this very closely. What I am beginning to believe, however, is that the ChiComs plan to dethrone The Donald will backfire. I cannot believe we will be anywhere near shipshape by November or that voters will want to change leadership in the middle of a war (against this invisible enemy).

    1. It looks to me at this point as though he will win. Soundbites from the Biden bunker are being ridiculed by everybody. With friendly interviewers, and, I reckon, cue cards, he still can’t manage to give the impression that he has Clue 1.
But: Trump IS president NOW, and my point in this post was: how much worse can things get?!? Things Sanders and his ilk could never have accomplished are now transpiring every day,,under the dictatorship of the CDC.

      1. P.S. I don’t despise my country because of the virus but because of my fellow countrymen who have elected presidents such as the Bushes, Clinton, and Obama who have fueled the fire of China’s economy.

I still cannot believe we would compromise our health by producing pharmaceuticals with those evil, wicked, amoral people who have out-smarted every single president since Trump.

I’m not even Kelly Anne Conway but I could have warned you against that foolish and dangerous behavior.

        Signed moi,
        Disgusted

      2. I read something (just the title) that Kissinger was on the ChiCom’s payroll or something like that. I did not read the article but this pandemic does put the Nixon administrations overtures to China in a new light. Of course the USSR was still a thing then so there was also some strategic thinking by our top diplomats, perhaps.

Except for you and me and all other tax-paying citizens.

Hyp; you’ve traveled even more than I have so tell me … Is there anywhere we can run and hide? I hate my country right now and I don’t want to hear from others telling me I should be grateful because I’m not.

    1. It looks like only the Pacific Island nations: Micronesia, Polynesia, are free of Covid right now. But I doubt they would let anybody from our country in!

  3. If you can get it, there’s a great piece on American Thinker this AM, by Hunt: “Trump taken Hostage by Public Health Fearmongers” which expresses what I mean. SNAP OUT OF IT, OUR DON! As this author says,Fauci is pushing for “economic nuclear winter”.
Look what has happened since he said the CDC’s rec to wear a cloth mask is voluntary, and he, personally, would not be doing it. Never mind that he has already tested negative twice! He’s being pilloried. I swear, if he shows up masked at today’s briefing, I’m going to shoot myself. I want some indication that he’s still in charge.

      1. I’m so sorry, I dk how to,link? Can you get to American Thinker?
I just watched yesterday’s briefing, though, and I’m encouraged. Trump spoke repeatedly about getting back to work. And get this: he might set up an “economic health” task force. Yes please Don!

  4. Hyp, I feel the same way about our nation’s (Catholic) bishops amid the n-covid paroxysm and paralysis around palm branches and Palm Sunday. I’ve dealt with most of the deprivations with equanimity – but a lack of blessed palm this year – by fiat, peeves me off. This is the final straw….I’m in Bizarro World around this Wuhan Flu Manchu, at last. Construction paper and pine boughs will not grace my front door, it’s not Christmas; last year’s palm branches will have pride of place. Period. (This morning, my dear long-suffering sister threaded last year’s blessed palm around my grapevine wreath on my front door.) It resembles a crown of thorns – quite fitting, actually, for the anger and grief I’ve begun to carry. Shut in since September, enough is too much, already.

  5. The virus has not and will not win; neither will China. I am with Simon on this: this plague that the Chi Coms let loose is going to totally backfire on them.

Shortly before he died, Robin had a hat made, with the caption “In Trump I Trust.” Trust in Trump, Hypatia: the man knows what he is doing, he will not let us down. 🙂

  6. I feel much better after the last two briefings. Trump seems back on track again. I wish he would appoint an economic recovery team, who could brief us on how we’re ever gonna dig our way outta this. He said he’s considering it.
Seeing him so often and for so long—these daily briefings always go closer to two hours than one—I really feel he has settled into the job. He’s comfortable as Prez. He is really working, knows his stuff. Before this, we saw him in rally mode: fun but necessarily kinda bombastic.
