  1. The last photo here may give you some idea of just how long this bad boy is, and his camouflage is impeccable. I almost sensed its presence before I spied him hanging out in my mulberry bush.

    In case you are wondering, he was allowed to live because of his color.

  3. That is a beautiful creature (although shiver-inducing..). And so perfect on the plant!
    It reminds me of a spider I see on thistles in bloom in summer, a tiny milk white spider, with a marking on its back exactly the same purple as the flower.
