Current US Strategic Foreign Policy:  America treats S. America as its back yard. Europe makes attempts to transform the Middle East and North Africa unto their domesticated, house broken lap dog.  China does the same with Taiwan. Honestly, this head to head policy: known as the Truman Containment confrontation, a tactical response to check Stalin’s desire to gobble up Eastern Europe into an expanded Russian empire.  Let the Asian neighbors to China resolve their regional imperialism checks and balances.

The shock of China going Red, Washington needs to recover.  The US needs to abandon the Truman Korean policy of making police actions across the planet.  Stalin died in the early 1950s, Mao likewise has died.  America should not establish it’s Great Power credentials by duplicating the Truman error.  The Lord Voldemort mistake wherein he assumed that he alone must kill Harry Potter.  This flawed decision of leadership, in effect, made Potter his equal.  Voldemort, in this sense compares to Germany which lost two European wars, based upon a collision course strategy.

War reflects an absolute disaster in leadership.  War dramatically changes both winners and losers of the confrontation.  A nation state changes its course, comparable to a mighty river being dammed.  The two world wars destroyed the imperial first world status of Europe.  The American Civil War switched the priority of States forming a larger Republic, to a democracy with an ever enlarging voter franchise.  The American defeat in Vietnam made a check on the American Containment Policy, perhaps on par with the disastrous invasions of both Iraq and Afghanistan.Israel should strive to prioritize trade – Butter over guns – as its Foreign Policy. This – Butter over guns – strategic Foreign Policy should dominate the US/Israel strategic international relations.

Israel should switch and strive to make North African countries as its main trading partners and abandon Europe. In the 19th Century the Policy of – Butter over guns – shaped US international relations. Of all countries, Israel owes its greatest debt of gratitude to America – above all other countries.   In the 19th Century, when the US established diplomatic relations with a country; they prioritized trade, they built Universities etc.  By contrast, US embassies today compare to Soviet embassies under Stalin, built as fortresses. When US embassies exist like some Alamo fort, this short sighted policy decision strongly indicates that US Foreign Policy produces hatred against America ,rather than awe of the Golden Medina.

Golden Medina, that’s how Jews living during the cruel Russian pogroms referred to America!  It’s the Foreign Policy model that Washington together with Jerusalem should strive to duplicate. The Cold War ended in 1989.   It’s time that American Foreign Policy i.e. the State Department – wake up and smell the coffee.  Nothing destabilizes a region of the world faster than a Cold War style arms race.  The two US policy initiatives which defined Cold War America, the Containment Policy and the Marshall Plan.  The Pax American Empire established military bases in over 150 countries because of the Marshall Plan.  Countries which accepted US foreign loans equally permitted the construction of US military bases within their countries.

This post War Truman style, both the US and Israel should now emphatically reject.  The European model of sowing social anarchy within a region which they hope to eventually invade and occupy, merits nothing short of total and absolute contempt.  Possibly the best example of this type of imperialism, the ‘balance of power’ policy established by John Russell, Smith-Stanley, Disraeli, and Gladstone.  Maintenance of the ‘balance of power’ in a region referred to the establishment of British domination of that region, as first among equals.  In the late 19th Century the Great Powers carved up China into ‘spheres of influence’.

Man’s ability to kill Man, ever improves in efficiency.  But nation states remain in fixed locations that do not change.  Consequently, when a nation develops and charts its long term strategic objectives, this foreign policy becomes fixed.  Administrations come and go, each tweaks and fine tunes its fixed strategic objectives as that Administration views its current interests.  The post war US debt serves as a most obvious example.  Following WW2, no President has ever attempted to dismantle the Federal bureaucracy, as the chief means to reduce the Federal budget deficit.  Bureaucracies once started never cease, their budgets increase almost each and every year thereafter.

The Federal Unions have made it practically illegal for the President to fire corrupt or inefficient public workers.  President Reagan and his struggle with the air traffic controllers.  He eventually won and fired some 11,000 workers.  But that fight placed the American people at tremendous risk.  Had a major air disaster struck, Reagan most probably would not have run for a second term of Office.  Thereafter, Reagan ceased any further attempts to “drain the Swamp”.  He switched his quagmire to the far less risky sale of illegal drugs for arms – Contra Affair.

  1. Both the Shoah and the Armenian Genocide: examples of “Genocide-in whole”.  Both the Young Turks and Nazi Party attained power prior to decision of their respective governments to go to war.  Civil Wars throughout history have witnessed a disproportionate proportion of domestic, racial ethnic genocides.

But revolutionary politics does not in and of itself produce racial wars.  Attila the Hun: 372-454, the Crusades:1095-1270, Genghis Khan & the Mongol invasions:1220-1650, atrocities in the Congo 1885 – 1908, German Empire Namaqua genocide 1904 – 1908, the Amer-Indians of North America: 1565-1924 — these mass slaughters of human life did not necessarily occur due to a political revolution/Civil War.

This commentary suggests that the criminal element in all cases of racial war, views their victims as inferior sub-humans.  Something on par with the command by General Sheridan permitting poachers to enter Indian territories and exterminate the buffalo.  Comanche Chief Tosawi reputedly told Sheridan in 1869, “Tosawi, good Indian,” to which Sheridan supposedly replied, “The only good Indians I ever saw were dead.” This crude and barbaric response succinctly sums up the motivations of extreme racial arrogance.
