even by four votes. The Senate (52-48) has just confirmed Amy Coney Barrett to the Court whose reputation emulates those of Scalia and Thomas.
I am thrilled.

A little shocked that one of the most qualified people in decades barely made it through but at least we were spared all the partisan nonsense. It was quick and easy.
Congrats to ACB!

Just finished reading this and felt compelled to share:
“Elena Kagan added a diverse viewpoint as the youngest sitting justice and the only sitting justice with no prior judicial experience. This allowed for a more pragmatic approach to the law.”
Meaning, to hell with the Constitution; the law should reflect the ever changing morays of society.
Hey… What did the Founding Fathers know anyhoo?
I may dislike her more than the “wise Latina” because she is much smarter at disguising her agenda.

EK irritates because I so heartily disapprove of appointing a Supreme with absolutely no experience in the courtroom.
Hey, I need to address a brain aneurysm (seriously, after this election I might!) so why don’t I consult with a cardiac surgeon?
