For Simon

I surely like Marines now. My computer tech who is a Gulf War vet and was General Mattis’ assistant specifically called me today for an uplifting conversation. (And no, Simon, we were not talking about lingerie.)

He has clients all over the country and overseas, works 7 days a week and wanted to share his enthusiasm and observations from his clients about a Trump victory today. He has always been somewhat remote and curt so I almost fell over when he called me simply for a pep talk and showed me videos of the Trump caravans!!

I jokingly asked why he was being so nice; he often gets impatient with my lack of technological acumen. He said, ” I’m only rough with smart people.”

Well, that call is helping me through this nerve-wracking day…

Semper Fi!!

      1. “Nanda, pls don’t go on an embargo!”

Not for good, Liz: Just long enough to save my sanity ’til the election dust settles, , especially here in PA – maybe next week? 😀

      2. Here is great, but the rest is tooth, claw, and growl that I can do without right now; working on stuff to post, in the meanwhile….

    1. Is there any way humanly possible for you to get Fox? On the internet? I realize the answer is no, and I am just wishful thinking, but you would feel so much better about everything if you could watch Fox.

      1. I have Apple TV but had a software issue that was recently resolved. Next problem – my TV seems unable to connect to the updateed and/or repaired software.

      2. AppleTV needs the Fox News Channel app – but it is available. Isn’t SkyNews a Fox family member?

      3. Is re-elected Tom Cotton the only true patriot in the Senate?

Remember when having been in the military service was almost a requirement to be elected to office in DC?

      1. “He’s got OH, JaC.”

I am aware of this, Nanda. If you look at the time on the comment, I made that comment about 24 hours ago 🙂

      1. Also, Virginia has been called for Biden, but some are starting to go wobbly on that: there is a chance President Trump could win there.

      2. Qouting John King again, “…the electoral college is how we elect Presidents right now.”

Wow, he just let loose the game plan. I think the high and mighty Progz are no longer even trying to hide their agenda.

P.S. I am pointing out King’s “right now” for those of you in Rio Lindo.

      3. They have been totally open about the plans to get rid of the electoral college for a while now: they are also loud and proud about their plans to stack the Supreme Court and add D.C. and Puerto Rico as states. They are putting everything on the table.

      4. Don’t forget that in the case of any electoral litigation, the Dems are already demanding that Amy Coney Barrett (officially sworn in as our 9th Supreme) recuse herself from all Court deliberations.

        1. This is unconstitutional because the only one with the authority to do so is the judge herself.
        2. I suppose Gorsuch and Kavanaugh should recuse as well because they, too, are relatively new appointees.

The lack of respect for constitutional law among the Democrats is simply breathtaking and has put me in a murderous rage.

      5. Even FDR couldn’t get away with “packing” the SCOTUS. Statehood: Even though not all of the possessions *want* the tax-paying that goes with statehood…

    1. “Pennsylvania is the Progz trump card. If necessary, that is where the Civil War begins.”

Hence, my lying low – Internet-wise – for several days.

      1. Trying to pray, breathe, and remember that it’s not 20 January yet. The local coverage is regurgitated lamestream media; some on FB aren’t necessarily demons in other ways, but this has brought out their inner Slimer. The “snooze button” is getting a workout.
