E-Mask-ulated

Browsing American Thinker this morning, as is my wont , I clicked on the link to New England Journal of Medicine wherein they concluded that, even in a hospital setting, universal masking is largely “talismanic”.
But it now appears with a banner disclaimer at the top to the effect that the authors strongly support public masking if people are going to be within 6 feet of each other for ….idk, shall we say 10 minutes? 20? Do I hear 30.?
Hey doctors: if you think masks aren’t very effective, even as used by health care workers and medical personnel, what the fuck makes you think ( or rather, who the fuck made you say) that the public at large is going to do any better?
They’re now selling special Christmas masks: rhinestones, glitter, a Santa hat, and the word “Believe!”
That says it all.

  1. This was/is a masterful piece of politically-motivated, orchestrated fear-mongering – right up there with “climate-change”. The extreme risk will vanish if the stealing of the election holds. (Of course, the much-smaller actual risk will be managed medically with treatments and vaccines when the Congress re-elects DJT.)

  2. Spot on observation, Nanda. Very astute comparison to the climate change scam.

This gets me to thinking that all this nonsense is motivated by more than power; many people propagating all this bs have plenty of that already. What on Earth motivates people to destroy their own country and the quality of life it has provided for so many, including themselves?

    1. A demonic nihilism seems to motivate these people; as to power, apparently one can never have enough. It’s perfectly acceptable to rule over a pile of ashes. I don’t like bananas overmuch, and I don’t wanna live in a banana republic, thanks but no thanks. (We need a national election do-over….)

      1. “Demonic nihilism” is a term I never thought I’d hear to describe the state of affairs in my country but how else does one explain it? Thanks for the warning (I think).

      2. I don’t like it either, Liz, but we who trust the Founders (and the Father) are a large, vocal – but ignored – majority. This, too, shall pass…Soon, I pray.
