Spain in the Ass!

ENOUGH of our border patrol agents having to plunge into the Rio Grande to rescue the soggy spawn of the Spanish Conquistadors.

Nor do I ever want to hear “Oprima la numero dos” again.

Why do we have to pretend that these migrant caravans are anything other thsn foot soldiers of a Reconquest?

England fought Spain on the New World from 1585 to 1605, and won. After the defeat of the Armada in 1588 it was pretty much a foregone conclusion. But the gallant and Brave Sir Francis Drake was involved in the New World too. We need a new world Anglosphere equivalent of Drake’s Drum:

“Take my drum to England, hang ‘er by the shore, /Strike ‘er when your powder’s runnin’ low!/ And if the dons sight Devon, I’ll quit the port o’Heaven,/And well drive ‘em down the channel like we did so long ago!”

Why isn’t anybody asking for Spain to reabsorb these “refugees” , their descendants, still speaking their language ?

Spain and Portugal once divided the entire globe between them. In Portugal, you see images and models of that everywhere, a globe bisected. And Portugal, of course, brought more Africans to the new world, to its colony Brazil, than any other nation ever trafficked.

Why does MY country have to take on the doomed-to-failure task of solving all the problems, occasioned by, and left over from, the “Age of Exploration”?

Oh, just kidding! It’s a fantasy to imagine that historical, responsibility, collective punisment for the sins of the past, will ever be imposed on any nation…Except the US.

But—pace Ernest Hemingway—

Isn’t it pretty to think so?

  1. “Isn’t it pretty to think so?”

It might be if we were appreciated for our actions/results as opposed to being accused of imperialism. (Wrong country, there, dudes but I remain skeptical where India would be right now without the colonialist influence as is my North Star Dinesh D’Souza.)

Question: Why don’t we become the selfish, manipulative and self-absorbed nation we have been regarded as? I’m a convert to this because Trump simply opened my eyes but I must say I knew enough history to smack a Frenchman in the face after a derogatory remark about the U.S. as I was shrieking “You’d be speaking German buddy if it weren’t for us.” FYI, I was 16 years old at the time and on his turf in Nice. My, have academic standards fallen since!

America First and I don’t give a rat’s ass about any country who hasn’t the motivation to make the world a better, safer, more functional place.

This comment will create an uproar amongst the libs and my response: “The truth hurts.”

    1. Exactly, Liz! You took my point . The US has been the most benignant, inclusive, freeest nation ever to grace the scarred surface of this benighted planet to date.
Oh and the world ABHORS collective punishment, abhors regarding any race or people as inferior just because their ancestors were enslaved or conquered, or regarding them as superior just because their ancestors aspired to world domination. Of COURSE it does!
EXCEPT when it comes to the US. Scapegoat of the nations. We are to be blamed for all the sins of our forbears, the European colonial powers. Somehow, every evil they imported here is now no longer their fault, only ours. I have HAD it. But I see no end in sight, with J. Marionette Biden eagerly implementing the agenda of the America-hating Squad.

  2. I once attended a Christmas party in New Jersey in which I was the only anglo/ gringo. I was having the time of my life when I suddenly realized that I was the only one there who was not illegal. It destroyed my Christmas spirit.
