      1. Actually, now that I think of it, I dont think I can watch it, because I dont know how to work the remote, lol. The tv has been on fox news since Robin died, I often mute the tv, but I never turn it off because I dont know how to turn it back on. Robin was in charge of all that stuff, lol.

I will see if I can get it on my laptop πŸ™‚

  1. Halftime report: I am pleasantly surprised but I don’t underestimate Mahomes in the second half. KC defensive backs better stop with the holding and unsportsmanlike penalties (5) because it’s costing them the game.

    1. Obviously, we all underestimated “Champa Bay.” I’ve never seen such a relentless defense in all my born days. Mahomes had 29 dropbacks which is the highest number in SB history. I even started to get concerned by all the sacks; I like that kid and don’t want his career to end before it starts.

    1. I agree but it will certainly end the debate among all NFL players and their opinion is the only one that counts.

      We saw history last night!!!

    1. We’ve talked about this. I disapprove of noting the “first” woman, the “first” African-American, or the first anything. It is slightly patronizing and continues to have divisive effects upon our society. While working in the corporate world, I was promoted to a job traditionally held by men and nobody discussed anything but my ability to do the job and my previous track record of achievement. And that’s how it should be.

  2. An addendum:

I truly wish for a world where gender is not celebrated and ability is. My favorite example is Cheryl Miller who routinely as a young girl laid waste to her famous brother Reggie on the court. She was a 4 time college Hall of Famer at USC and went on to be inducted to the WNBA Hall of Fame as well. Tragically, her pro career was cut short in her twenties by a severe knee injury but she carried on as a sideline analyst in the NBA and was excellent! (At 6′ 2″ she was able to interview NBA players eye to eye.)

She never asked those inane, “fluff” questions because of her knowledge of the game. I enjoyed her immensely because I always learned from her commentary. She has since retired. I miss her.

  3. @Callum McCormack/Wales: We’re pretty interested in soccer over here particularly Arsenal. Could you write a post about the international soccer league and give us an analysis on the best teams?

    Would be much appreciated!
