Sorry, but I’m grasping at straws when life wasn’t as tacky or tasteless and it helps me get through the Machiavellian destruction of the U.S. and many Western governments.
- Princess Diana: The Shoes

2. Melania Trump: The Belt
3. Jackie: Those Pearls

Now, y’all finish the list! Hint: I forgot about Princess Grace of Monaco and Audrey Hepburn. ๐

You are far more aware of fashion than I am, Liz, but in my ignorance, I will quibble with you: Melania should be Number One ๐ or maybe I am just biased ๐

Tough call Judy! I loved and love them both. ๐ I will agree that Melania has a natural level of sophistication that no other First Lady or Princess has ever had. She doesn’t hire designers to give her advice; she makes the call herself!
Diana got a heads up from me because she grew up in a world of ugly tweeds and dowdy hats and had to learn about fashion. Oh, Mon Dieu how I hate those hats! (As a sideline, those awful princesses Beatrice and Eugenie wore “fascinators” to William’s wedding. I thought I was at the North Pole for a moment looking at reindeer!)
So, tell me pls, who would you add to the list?

I feel so dumb, but I really dont pay enough attention to be of much use here, but I will take your hint and add Princess Grace and Audrey Hepburn, in that order ๐

Just look at some pictures! Rear Window with Kelly and Stewart. The costume designer Edith Head was world famous for a reason. ๐

I have never heard of Edith Head in my entire life, until now ๐

I wish I could post some of her work but Google won’t allow Grace’s luminous costumes to be printed. If you’re interested, google Edith Head in Rear Window. She was truly special and was consigned to design most of Kelly’s wardrobes in all of her films.

So glad you added Miss Audrey! She was radiant – inside and out – and makes all of us who’re ‘fun-sized’ happy to be so…For “approachable classiness”, may I suggest Barbara Hale – who carried it off into her 90s?

Breakfast at Tiffany’s changed my life! ๐ I own two dozen “little black dresses” and if gloves were still in style I’d own those too.
One word: Icon.

Awwww, Liz, you could bring gloves back two-handed. (With one behind your back, just to make it fair.) ๐คฉ
