Today was one of my days off, so I slept in until 10:30 or so. I went to bed at 10:30 or so last night. My dryer needed to be fixed, and the appliance repair guys arrived around noon, and stayed for 20 minutes or so-it was a very easy fix, so that was good. Then I ran a few errands, and drove up to New Hampshire (about an hour’s drive) to buy cigarettes. I got home an hour or so ago, and have been doing laundry. And I am tired again. I slept for 12 hours last night. I have only been up for 8 hours, and they have been 8 very relaxed, laid back hours, but for some reason, I am tired. I am usually tired.
I have been this way for a while-for far too long. But lucky for me, my nurse practitioner ordered some routine blood tests, and it turns out my numbers are all great, except for one. I am severely deficient in Vitamin D3. And fatigue is a very common symptom of D3 deficiency. There are other bad things that are associated with this deficiency as well, but the one that really caught my eye was dementia. There is a link between D3 deficiency and dementia. OMG.
My nurse practitioner told me to get more sun and start taking 4000 IUs of Vitamin D3 every day. I just took my first dose. I am really hoping that this solves my low energy problem. I will keep you posted. 🙂

Go for it, JaC! (The Vitamin-D3, that is – and/or the FL move.) 🙂

My BMD found out he was D deficient too, and he thinks it’s endemic among our population here on the Plateau. (I’m waking up to snow this morning!) He wanted me to take it too. I laughed cuz all summer I walk 3 miles / day and bike 27 miles/ week with all of my limbs exposed to the sun. But, he’s my doctor! After gagging on the bullet sized tablets, I switched to gummies. I’m not averse to any kinda possible improvement. Hope it gives you a lift!
