Several of us have commented on the power of this book written by J.D. Vance. I have often wanted to meet this wildly successful hedge fund manager and author and I finally did, (so to speak) last night on Tucker Carlson. In speaking of the current actions of the Biden and Democrat administration he had this to say:
“The problem is not that the Dems want to reform the nature of how this country operates but how dreadfully incompetent they are at ruling and how desperately they want to disguise their shortcomings.”
I am quoting J.D. directly:
“They need to distract us from the fact that 80,000 Americans died of heroin overdoses last year, that a ten block neighborhood in Chicago (Cabrini Green) registered 352 gangbanger murders (black on black crime) in 2020 and at 4/21/21 they are well on their to surpassing those hideous numbers at 275.”
Vance cited incompetence and a panic about Democrats’ image; this is why they try to distract us by police shootings who have accumulated in 2021 to 27 perps. 7 of those perps were shot in questionable and illegal circumstances. This is certainly nothing to ignore but what about the 80,000 and 352?
In other words, let us ignore the forest for the trees.
I love this guy because he’s been there, is smart as a whip and maintains a moral code that I respect.

He’s been there but he was so fortunate. He had grandparents who protected him with their lives and a genetically inherited IQ that allowed him to succeed in the Marines and at Ohio State University and Yale law school. He writes in his book that he didn’t even understand half the references on his SAT but scored so high on his Math portion he was admitted with a full scholarship at OSU.
Another best-selling author of “Education” and Cambridge and Harvard grad, Tara Westover went through a far more difficult childhood full of severe physical abuse and I recently saw her on a re-run of Charlie Rose.
I sincerely hope those two have met each other; their powerful messages need to be heard!!!

JD is gonna run for senate in Ohio! He met with Trump at Mar a Lago recently. He didn’t originally like Trump, but I guess he’s come ‘round….

Yes, he admitted his dislike for Trump on a talk show after his book came out and frankly, I was surprised! Also heard the rumors about the Senate run; things could get interesting…
