Well, I’ve Surrendered

I now have two appts to get the Moderna vaxes. Not happy about it but even here in Florida three of my favorite doctors (all libs btw) won’t see me without them and of course, no traveling abroad.

Sigh. Sieg Heil. Storm troopers all.

Biden’s comments yesterday were priceless: “This isn’t about freedom or personal choice. It’s about protection.”

This left me so distraught my husband was ready to call EMT.

  1. You aren’t alone, Liz. My brother strong armed me into getting the shots: I have already had the first one, and will receive the second in a week or so. I hate it, but had no choice.

      1. I was fine after the first shot, but I guess it’s the second one that gets people. Will let you know- I am getting the moderna one too.

  2. Liz, if it’s any consolation to you, I got the shots because my BMD so directed. He is my doctor and I have never known him to be wrong. I as you may have noticed am increasingly skeptical about the vax. But he says: it’s not a live vaccine (which makes it less problematic) and he believes it probably does prevent any infection you do get from being too severe. As for the myocarditis, he says that can happen with a regular old cold, too, just like you might get aches in other muscles. So there’s a well informed medical opinion and one upon which he acted in his own behalf and so advised me and our daughter, his most important persons.

    Now…about dinner in Manhattan…😜!

  3. That is definitely medical tyranny. That happened the minute Biden said, “This isn’t about freedom or personal choice. It’s about protection,” and there was no one to remind him that what he is doing is blatantly unconstitutional.

I still remember in the 1950’s when doctors prescribed smoking to women and said it was healthy. At that time, we weren’t yet living under tyranny and it wasn’t mandated in order to keep your job.

      1. Many people question his ability to think for himself, and believe he has dementia or Alzheimer’s. If he had a rational mind, why would he telling people to come on over to America when many of them are bringing diseases with them that we’re trying to reign in — or that we had eradicated in our country? Why would he think the Taliban would be kind to the people the he left stranded when he pulled out the troops with little warning? Why does he think there won’t be thousands of lawsuits over his vaccine mandate?

        Those are just a few.

He needs to have a real, unbiased (unbought?) doctor examine him.

      2. I’ll take this comment one step further; it isn’t as if we didn’t know about the lack of rationality before the election. I continue to blame those whom the Founders lost blood, sweat tears to give responsibility and rights.

We, as a country let them all down.

      3. Yes. And it is goes as far back as allowing the 16th amendment to the constitution, if not further. We let them down, our parents and grandparents because no one believed the unthinkable could happen.

  4. Meanwhile, hospitals are starting to deny services because nurses are leaving their jobs rather than get vaccinated. This, according to Tucker Carlson, just now. One hospital, I think in New York, stopped delivering babies: they couldn’t do it anymore, because too many nurses had fled due to vaccine mandates.

Makes me wonder if I should really get that second shot.

  5. Wow, that is so wrong. A Doctor who refuses to treat his patients. I’d expect this in California (where I am) but not Florida. Actually, my doctor is laid back. Once I get into the room, he tells me I am free to be maskless.

    Take Care
