The Met Gala

One of the most glam social events of the year hosted by Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue, is always fun to watch. Even though the Kardashian sisters are invited, it really is a “Who’s Who” or as I would put it, a true “Princess Di event.” A long established fundraiser for Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum, Wintour is well-known for inviting some controversial guests.

Look who showed up this year! At $35,000 a ticket, we know that is beyond the budget of a Congresswoman, so AOC received her seat for free. Gifting violations anyone? And I just love the dress …

    1. That dress was so tasteless I could hardly believe my eyes. Imagine wearing such “tagging” as you mingle among some of the wealthiest people in the world!

P.S. Tagging aside, that dress was homemade. I dislike wannabes.

    1. Nah, she’ll write a book or two and be very popular on the lecture tour not to mention college graduation commencements. Obama (granted, he was a president) demanded 250k a pop!

  1. Hey look, her gown was mild compared to that glamour puss who showed up wearing white overalls with “Peg the patriarchy” in red on the bib.
(Y’know what “pegging” is? I wish I didn’t, but I do, so I’ll share: it’s when a woman straps on a prosthetic penis and rams it up a guy’s butt. )
Babylon Bee had a great AOC parody: Trump showing up at the Met gala in a white gown with “Rigged Election”: painted in red….

    1. Mon Dieu! Just look at the beautiful pink gown at the back of this photo. THAT is what one is supposed to wear at these kind of events. My retail instincts tell me that is a Versace and that is what I want to see.
