Shoot Jac, I only got a glimpse of the beginning before my screen popped up with a huge ad blocker sign. I love animal videos; disappointed not to finish this one. ):

I was walking with my big black lab once years ago. We came to a certain turn, on a familiar path we’d walked many times before, and she wouldnt let me pass. She kept jumping up and pushing me back; i tried to sidestep her but she blocked me.I remember it vividly because I was wearing light-coloured summer clothes, which were covered with her muddy footprints where she firmly pushed me back with her paws. It was, like, a Baalam’s ass moment.
Neither she nor any other dog I’ve ever had has done anything like that before or since. I’ve always wondered what she saw or heard that I didn’t.

Most humans forget that an animal’s sense of smell is their most powerful weapon. I’d guess your pup got a whiff of something he didn’t like. 🙂
Can you imagine having an Australian shepherd on the premises?
