That inside pitch looked like a strike or nearly a strike from this angle. The batter’s (late?) reaction to the pitch may have fooled the umpire into calling it a ball vice the strike it appears to be.
Finally, this OP in no way is intended to offend neither people of Chinese nor Oriental descent. That goes double for the harpies looking for the next ‘struggle’ to win.
Hey Simon, because I am hopeless at posting videos and in the spirit of the Series, could you post Kirk Gibson’s infamous bottom of the 9th homerun in game 1 of the 1988 World Series? By sheer accident, I was at that game because my brother had tickets and his wife wasn’t interested. I remember saying at the end “You and I have just witnessed history.” 🙂

I used to ump in Chile too. Almost got killed one day when I called a close play for the away team. OMG

Continued: The home team fans really, really, very much wanted me to reverse my call but I could not. Fun ensued.

This is why people are wrong to think baseball is a “safe” sport. Lawd, I’d rather face Lawrence Taylor than this pitch!!
