“Some say the world will end in fire/Some say, in ice./ From what I’ve tasted of desire/I hold with those who favor fire./ But if it had to perish twice/ I think I know enough of hate/ To say that for destruction ice/ Is also great/ And would suffice.”
—Robert Frost, ”Fire and Ice”.
Thank you, Hypatia. Robert Frost was the only poet we were taught in elementary school. I love his poetry.

I do as well. I know “The Road Not Taken” is hardly an original choice, but it remains the poem that speaks to me always. I think his work was especially appealing because it focused not only upon technical excellence but included quietly expressed words that were packed with emotion and thought.
This is why I’ve always enjoyed actors Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood; no over-playing roles for dramatic effect, but their work spoke volumes. It left a lot to the imagination and to the heart.
