Benghazi was the first real sign that the ruling class are pure evil, but most Americans, including myself, could not absorb that. I really believed that Benghazi was incompetence on a massive scale, and I believed that everything that happened afterwards was an attempt to cover up for incompetence. Then, Afghanistan happened. Now, there are 32,000 Americans in Ukraine and the Biden administration is doing nothing to help them get out.
The ruling class are failing on purpose: they failed on purpose in Benghazi, and everywhere since then.
