A Marker, II

less than 2 weeks ago i wrote a post titled A Marker. that was bfore Russia invaded Ukraine. i wanted to record how things looked then.

now,Russia has done it. althoogh to hear pur media talk youd think Putin had done it alone.

Heres what i wanna ”mark” today:

Ever since the Bygone-Hapless admin came in, we here in America have suffered supply chain crises, general inflation, astronomical gas price inflation. it has been this way for most of 2021 and all of 2022 to date. Remember?

it was that waybwhen we woke up yesterday, and thatbwas before Russia made its move..

Fast forward 3 weeks or so:

do you doubt that then, Bygone-Hapless will be blaming all of these domestic catastrophes exclusively on Russia’s war in Ukraine? that war was the birth if these problems and the reason for their persistence?

And….they might get away with it.

O my America!

  1. Ukraine allows foreigners to serve in their military. Americans who want to volunteer to go fight the Russians are welcome to do so. Americans who want to sit home and send other people to fight can eff off.

I am on Ukraine’s side, for many reasons, but we cannot allow pajama boy leftists to continue doing what they do-ie, sending other people to fight, but never fighting themselves. Roughly 70% of Americans do not want war with Russia. That means roughly 30% of Americans do. 30% of Americans is a lot of people: I bet if the able bodied members of that 30% went over to help the Ukrainians out, they could do a lot of good.

    1. I enlisted to go to war, if necessary, with the USSR not Russia. That was a couple of generations ago. These days I feel most mornings, as I drag my once glorious body out of the rack, that I might be too old for down and dirty grunt work.

      1. You have done far more than your fair share, Simon!!! My comment was addressed to members of the ruling class who never fight in the wars they get America into. I am so sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Right now, pajama boy leftists are accusing anyone who doesn’t want to go to war with Russia of being an isolationist, or worse. They are very eager to send others to war, but have no intention of fighting themselves. This cannot go on.

    1. The Russians have taken control of Chernobyl. They tried to take the airport in Kiev, but Ukrainian forces stopped them, for now. That’s according to the last I heard.

      1. What really gets me is that the same leftists who want other Americans to fight Russia will not acknowledge that the people they voted for-Obama and Biden-are the ones who created this mess. Being a liberal means never having to say you’re sorry.

      2. There was a protest in Moscow of 100 or 200 Russians objecting to the war. The jury is out on whether most Russians really support this, and in the long term, Putin could be undermining his own power, one would hope.

      3. And Biden is the one who unchained them, when he stopped the Keystone pipeline and allowed the Russian pipeline into Germany. Germany, who contributes next to nothing to their own defense but who fully expects America to come to their rescue.

      4. I’d put our vaunted Green Berets/ SF under Hunter Biden’s command with the mission of liberating the Ukraine.

        Can you say, “Mission Complete?”

      5. Putin is invading from land, air and sea, from three different directions. But he doesn’t have control of the airport in KIev yet.

  2. All very diverting, but keep my point in mind, please: in a few weeks, all the domestic problems we had before Ukraine, the Bygone-Hapless admin will now blame ON Ukraine,
. Whew! Not Ol’Jo[k]e’s fault after all!
And they’ll probably get away with it.
    Mark me!

    1. They won’t get away with it, Hypatia. Before this invasion, Biden’s approval numbers were somewhere around 30%. They aren’t going to go up because of this.

      1. Yeah, I hope you’re right. I read a Lefty tweet saying: Putin did us a favor: during wartime, the incumbent prez always wins. Not only do they want the war, they want it to drag on till 2024.

      2. The are idiots, Hypatia, and their idiocy becomes more clear to more people all the time. Whoever wrote that tweet did us a huge favor by highlighting how stupid the left is.

    2. Just now, according to Fox: “If you didn’t think Biden’s approval numbers could go any lower, they have.”

Biden continues to eff this situation up, just like he effs everything up. People see this. And leftists want us to go to war with their man Biden in charge? Are you effing kidding me?

      1. Tucker Carlson just had an American of Ukrainian ancestry on this show: the man still has friends and family in Ukraine. He is very aware that this never happened when Trump was in office, and that Biden is responsible for this mess. He is not calling for the U.S. to send troops, he only called for more sanctions.

      2. Actually, I take that back. I wouldn’t want anyone to be in a fox hole with David Frum. I would be a better soldier than he would. I do not say that lightly.

      3. I actually went to David Frum’s twitter account and asked him if he would recognize the disaster that Joe Biden is, and take responsibility for the role that he has played in the Russian invasion. Awaiting an answer.

      4. At this moment, David Frum is throwing many hissy fits because Tucker Carlson asked that exact question of David Frum on his show tonight. David Frum says that anyone who asks that question is working for Vladimir Putin, basically.

      5. This is the twitter thread I commented on, if anyone is interested. This is just one of many tweets David Frum has put out tonight trying to prove that he isn’t a warmongering coward. Tucker Carlson has very much gotten under his skin.

      6. Good question 🙂 Serious answer: I don’t know, but he might be. There are an awful lot of leftists calling for other men to go to Ukraine and fight. David Frum is the poster child for men who want to send others to war, but never go themselves. I think that is what it is.

      7. To put in perspective, though, Tucker Carlson’s show averages 4 and a half million viewers every night: his show is the most popular in cable news history, and the left is apoplectic about him. They want him banned, and they constantly accuse him of working for Putin.

Anyway, this is why Frum is so upset about being called a coward on Tucker’s show. A lot of people watch Tucker’s show.

  3. I looooove that comment by Frum! It boils down to : “ Neither Tucker nor I are in any physical danger in this conflict, but MY feelings are correct and virtuous, and his AREN’T!” CTFO, that is so emblematic of the Left.

    1. And anyone who doesn’t obey David Frum is a tool of Vladimir Putin. Seriously-he seriously believes that, and there are many others like him. These people are now totally deranged.
