Yes. St Francis of Assissi said that to his way of thinking, being kicked out and thrown in the snow on a freezing night would be his greatest joy, because that would place him closer to Jesus. I remind myself of this often.
If we want to follow Christ, we cannot expect to be treated better than He was. Brutal, but unfortunately true.

LOL 🙂 I have never slept in the snow, but have been around it enough to know that I don’t want to 🙂 Thankfully, I have never literally been thrown in the snow on a freezing night, but I feel like I have figuratively had that experience, and you definitely did with the way they treated you on L1.
