About the Atlantic’s Covid 19 “Amnesty”

Everybody’s talkin’ about the article in the Atlantic Magazine which says “we” must forgive the mistakes made during Covid (their name is legion) and,ny’know, pull together and move on. At one point the author relates that her family took hikes in masks and her ten year old son screamed at anyone they passed on the trail, “Social distancing!”.
yeah, what you mean, “we”, Karen?
it’s obviously she herself, and her ilk which castigated, ostracized, and campaigned to imprison anybody who didn’t agree with the patently ridiculous measures we were all forced to adopt. It wasn’t us. We only wanted to be left alone!

but now that the colossal wrongheadedness of the Covid strictures is glaringly exposed, she’s afraid the rest of us are gonna get, y’know, like, reeeeeeely mad, and yell at her, and mock the ludicrously ineffective but colossally annoying behaviors she insisted we all follow.

The reality is, the rest of us HAVE moved on. Like I said, that was all we ever wanted in the first place. Fauci and the Karens? Outta sight (at last!) outta mind. Byeeee! Now let’s make some money and have some fun!

But—why does this lefty lady suddenly fear our (to date non-existent) vengeance, our censure, our rabid demands for revenge and punishment?

Why?
A li’l thang called “projection”.
meaning:
Because that’s the way THEY behaved for two years toward anyone who didn’t agree with. ‘em And that’s the way THEY would behave now, if they were in our shoes.
No need to worry, Ma’am: we ain’t like you. Just step aside, please.

  1. You are far kinder than I am, Hypatia 🙂 I want justice. I am fine with letting bygones be bygones with the majority of leftists who were simply annoying, but Fauci? Others in positions of power who knowingly lied, and are still pushing a vaccine they know doesn’t work? On children?

I will not forget. We should never forget what they have done.

    1. Those in power who abuse their power must be held accountable. I don’t know the woman who wrote this article. But Fauci, and others like him? Yeah, they should be facing more Congressional hearings and investigations. At the very least.

      Never Again.

  2. For far too long, corrupt politicians have relied on the goodness and the incredibly forgiving nature of the American people. But, when we forgive corrupt politicians, we are also throwing innocent people under the bus. Benghazi, for instance, and more recently, the distastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

We cannot continue to forgive and forget. At some point, there has to be accountability. Hopefully, covid will bring about accountability.

We are still wondering where Obama and Hillary were during Benghazi. This cannot go on.

      1. LOL 🙂 None. 🙂 Are you going to deiscriminate against me for having no money? That’s illegal, isn’t it? 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. I hope so, but you know The cliché about elections: if it’s not close, they can’t cheat. And unfortunately, most of these key races are squeakers, especially the senate. So the Dems can and will cheat.
