Ok, now I’m annoyed. My roots are showing, my nails are ten feet long, the polish is a disgrace and my soles feel like leather. Three doctors have cancelled on me and I am here to tell you I can’t live like this much longer.
The CCP will pay. ST, is it too late to sign up to be a Devil Dog? (There is nothing meaner than a woman having a multitude of bad hair days.)
My hairdresser is sneaking me through the back door on Thursday and her husband (a cop) is covering for us.
Is this not the definition of ridiculous?
Massachusetts is set to officially open on the 18th; I cant even make an appointment to get my hair done until then, and even then it will be a long wait because my hairdresser is in high demand. Sigh. I feel your pain, Liz 😦

This makes me happy I’m so low maintenance! Never been near a hairdresser, never had long nails (riding is tough on them) and…well I did get a pedicure one time, when my daughter was little, because I wanted to give her a treat, so we did it together….see, I’m totally rusticated! But: sympathies!

I agree with Lizzie. Hypatia, you’ve got to up your game. Come to Thailand, girlfriend, and we’ll go to the spa for queen for the day pampering* sessions.
*It is recommended that you discuss your Happy Ending (HE) options at time of booking.

I’d be a disappointment in that regard. Someone gave me a day at a spa as a gift once. Yeah…..sitting around in an institutional bathrobe reminded me of getting a physical exam. The only thing i really wanted was a massage. But the guy who did it wasn’t very vigorous. I did get a thick glossy job of nail polish but it chipped before I even got home. God, I sound uncivilized don’t I?

Me, too. I’d be happy for my sister to use the clippers to give me a longish “wedge”/fade, but she won’t do it….My stylist is open, but a house call may be awhile.

Liz, it is heart warming to see that you are holding steadfast to your priorities during the great pandemic of 2020. By the way, some dudes really like chix who rock that two-toned look when the length of his sweetheart’s hair is about 50% died and 50% roots/ natural. You may want to scout them out. Their natural habitat is the backwoods of the Ozark Mountains.
On the other hand, I would advise against going in there alone and on the prowl. To that end, I could possibly guide you (for a nominal fee) or arrange for a cotton picking, tobacco chewing member of the McTemplar clan to introduce you to some of those good ol’ boys. He also would most likely expect to be compensated in one way or another for his valuable time.

GF, it is every bit as yummy as any massage you’ll ever have!

ok, I am very interested in hearing about who does your exfoliating and how it is done, because I have exfoliated myself, and I wouldn’t describe it as yummy. It wasn’t bad or anything, it’s kind of like washing your face-not unpleasant, but not memorable either 🙂

Looks at my hair that I cut myself, the eyebrows I tweezed myself and the nails I’ve never painted all my life.
This post just made me a tad anxious when I was reading that I hadn’t done all that too but boy am I happy I’ve been doing all of that myself since I was 18 years old.
Hang in there xD

You are very talented, Anya 🙂 I don’t trust most makeup artists, I like to do my own makeup, but other than that, I leave it to the professionals who are now unavailable! 🙂

Haha desperate times called for desperate measures. I have thick eyebrows and I think that goes with my face (?) a few times that I got it done by a professional, they always get excited and thread my brows too thin. And the little bleeding points are not such a great addition to my pimple spot ridden face so I had to take measures into my own hands.
My hair dresser nightmare was another thing!

Anya, your hairdresser nightmare sounds like a great story, I am with Simon, we want to hear about it 🙂

Okay so, my history with hairdresses start with my dad putting a bowl on my head and cutting round it, and in 4th grade my sister tried to style a crow’s nest outta my hair, and then in 7th grade I went to my first barber (A BARBER!)
That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I quivered a bit in between when I decided to try this new place and they had to go and give me layers I couldn’t fit into a pony.
I don’t think I trust anyone at this point now! Plus, it really helps that a bun can hide all the mistakes I might make when I cut one side too short xD

Beauty alert Anya! Thick eyebrows are quite fashionable right now. All anyone has to do is clean up a little in the middle.

Riiight? When I was in school I was a weirdo with bushy eyebrows and a unibrow but after I cleaned that up a little, I see the rage rn is thick eyebrows, I love them now…

P.S. What country are you from if you don’t mind me asking? Most American girls start going to salons before they can walk. 🙂 ‘Beauty’ is a multi billion dollar business in this country!

#MeToo but I was talking about ‘me too’ in reference to my own experience with hairdressers, especially that first haircut Marine Corps bootcamp Paris Island, SC.
Speaking of which, you should have seen some of the ‘barracks cuts’ my jarheads gave each other. Almost all of the cherry cuts ended with the ‘barber’ having to shave his victim’s skulls and letting the hair grow out evenly. That, by the way, was not kool at all for 18-20 year old dudes 24/7/11© on the make.

New England is a little like Ireland: St Patrick, or somebody, drove out not all but most of the snakes here, we get a few little garden snakes here and there, but nothing on the scale of the pictures you have posted!

Luckily I was not sitting in it at the time; nevertheless, it felt like the end of days!

My Uncle-Colonel’s dear lady-friend (a Marine’s widow) kept a sharp eye on him, before I was “pinned” as an honorary devil pup, so that he wouldn’t make me get a ‘high-and-tight’ haircut 😃.

I have to say, he told me my hair just needed to stay under my helmet, or other ‘cover’. That’s it; but he did think a ‘high-and-tight’ would look great – until Ms. Lu said: “You’d better *not*!”

Yeah, well your humor kinda proves you’ve spent some time with women which is why you have this site and why you entertain biatches like me. 🙂

Speaking of beauty secrets, I always forget to moisturize. Does that make me a bad person?
As a matter of fact, I forget to do everything that does not involve some female laying her hands upon my formerly glorious body.
