My gf (at the time) and owner of this massage studio is on her knees in the white shirt. She is of the Lisu Hill Tribe and lost her baby brother when he was 3-4 years old. She said, in a nut shell, he died because they were poor. Americans have no idea but they seem to want to have the third world experience.
What are the ‘entitled’ going to do when there are no free lunches?
FYI I was posing at this moment as a mild mannered customer and normal sexpat. They did not know the ‘pretty massage girl’ was giving me free foot massages both night and day.

“..he died because they were poor”…oh Simon, the pathos of those words. Anything I could say would be superfluous. “ Americans have no idea”—no, nor any idea how incredibly, unprecedentedly materially blessed even the poorest of us are. Crying.

it is okay, Hypatia. Miss Lisu cried when she told me the story. it was just a tear or two but it was an emotional experience for both of us.

Not only how materially blessed but only in America someone can be born an untouchable deplorable and, if the planets line up just right, spend most of his adult life sleeping with some of the most beautiful women in the world.
If we lose starship America, that dream is lost to 99.9% of mankind forever if not an eternity.

Nanda’s comment below got me to thinking, Hypatia. Why were you verklempt? Is it because my gf (at the time) is kneeling before another man and washing his feet or in reaction to the tragic death of her baby brother. By the way the massuese who loved me has no brothers. Her mom & dad had two more children, both girls.

I don’t understand how so many Americans can be so ignorant, so ungrateful, and so oblivious to the suffering of those in other parts of the world.

Haakon Dahl (AKA: d’HawK) do you see any “youth being deflowered in the mud?”

Verklempt is the perfect word, Hyp; how in creation have we forgotten gratitude for our blessings, respect for our fellow men/women/children on the planet, and compassion? Elitism crowds out all these things and sentences those who adhere to it to the death of their humanity, their consciences.
