There is a story going around the internet right now about a twentysomething married police woman who slept with five male police officers. Some are saying that this is not necessarily all that unusual. People on the internet are heaping scorn on this woman, and others like her. This particular woman in this particular case is not helping herself: she is now claiming that she was a victim of sexual harrassment, which will only cause the heaping of scorn to increase 100 fold.
Even so, I wish people would stop heaping scorn. They won’t, but I wish that they would. Any woman who would do what this female police officer did is obviously stuggling with mental health issues. If it is true that situations like this are relatively common in the Military and on Police and Fire services, that means that some of the women who sign up to serve have a screw loose. They should be viewed with compassion and pity, not with scorn.
I will probably be shot at sunrise for saying this, but women definitely do not belong in the Military or on the Fire Department, and they probably don’t belong on the Police force either. If this sort of thing happens as often as some claim that it does, then at the very least, we need to do better screening of women who want to work in what are, lets face it, men’s jobs. But, if they were more selective about which women they hired, they wouldn’t meet thier recruitment goals, and then they wouldn’t be diverse enough.
I will be shot at sunrise for saying this, but is it really a surprise if it turns out that a significant percentage of women who want to join the Military or the Police or the Fire Departemnt have a screw loose? When it becomes clear that one of these women definitely has a screw loose, we should not be heaping scorn on her. We should be heaping scorn on the society that uses mentally unstable young women to fill quotas, and then treats them as roadkill when it becomes obvious that they are mentally unstable.
Its common for women to fall in love with men they admire, and to fill the the empty gap with sex because that’s what women are therefore, nurturing and sex. They are not mentally unwell. They need hugs and love everyone and kisses like we all do.
I agree with the scorn.
Like you I wish women would still want to be women. And not soldiers, but warrior women are common throughout the ages and if someone trained me, and I was willing to kill people – and I am – I would have joined the military .
Maybe she was cajoled and or coerced, and her needs used for men’s ends, but I its common practice in my country to use and abuse women softly so she looks mad. She’s not to mad. She needed comforting and tension release and someone to love. Thank you for no scorn from you. Two or three gathered in agreement, there I am. Support the women. Trauma in life and the military needs women to soften the blow. Men played her to she’s not mentally unstable. I’m will to give a pinkie tip if I am wrong. I’m ‘never” wrong.

Hi Sasha ๐ If she had only slept with one other police officer, I would totally agree with you, but she slept with 5 other officers, all of whom knew each other, within a very short period of time, if not simaltaneously. That isn’t love. That is mental instability, but as always, we can agree to disagree ๐

Don’t assume she is a wayward woman. Men are unscrupulous and play the long game, and misuse vulnerable, lonely women. I hate them.

Well, but it can both ways: some women are just as unscrupulous as some men are ๐ I don’t think this woman is a bad person: I think she is very troubled. Even in today’s crazy society, sleeping with five men who all know each other in a very short span of time is a bizarre thing to do. Are the men who knew this was going on and went along with it nice people? No, and they have also lost their jobs.
There will always be troubled women, but when a significant percentage of women who want to serve in male professions turn out to be troubled, we should pay attention to that. These women are not bad people, but they obviously have some issues. Even in today’s society, their behavior is not normal in any way.

I am not saying It’s a normal. I’m just saying these men are the liars and the players. I know women like this. It is pure lies she falls for, or they got her drunk, or both, and … I will always defend the woman. I have met very few honourable men. 3 confirmed in 72 years. Some suspects, but the jury is still out.
I also detest the women being accused of being mental …. They are driven mental by society and that society is mostly men. Sometimes our mothers join their ranks.

Sasha, I am so sorry that your experiences with men have been so negative. I can only seak to my exeriences in America: most of the men I know are very honorable. I was born in 1970, when feminism was well underway, and I mean it when I say that the only people who have ever driven me mental are feminists and the men who support them. All I ever wanted was to just get married and have children, but feminists wouldn’t allow that: you had to have a career, and you had to be just as tough as men are. Feminists told men that any woman who didn’t want a career was a lazy parasite, and plenty of men believed that, but it was mostly women pushing that idea, just as it is mostly women pushing for young women to become soldiers, police officers and fire fighters. Feminists have been in charge for at least 50 years. We can’t blame everything on men anymore.
If a female police officer is helpless to deal with male police officers, then how in the world will she be able to deal with hardened criminals? Women cannot have it both ways. Either we are vulnerable and need to be protected, or we are just as tough as any man, but it can’t be both. Personally, I will go with vulnerable and need to be protected, and I promise that I will never attempt to be a cop ๐

i agree with your every word. I only wanted to be a wife and a mother. I am still a mother, now a grandmother. I hate feminists. I admire intelligent men, but I am found that intelligence doesn’t mean they have integrity. Women are being destroyed by themselves. I include my past self as well. The crap I put up with to keep my children’s father… I have no words.

“…..she is now claiming that she was a victim of sexual harrassment, which will only cause the heaping of scorn to increase 100 fold.” Someone I know intimately was sexually abused by her father and brothers from an early age. In her fifties she went “mad”. Mental institution. NO ONE BELIEVED HER. They medicated her to zombie state. Her brothers scorn her and added to the insane conviction. Her child is a child of incest. She is not mad. She was destroyed. Heaven forbid the truth comes out. But God is not blind.

That is so horrible! Why didn’t the women in her life believe her? There is no question that some men do horrifice things. Often, it is with the knowledge and cooperation of women.
One of my friends in college was molested by her biological father from the age of 3, until she finally escaped at 25. Her biological mother knew about it the whole time, and did nothing.
Men do not have the market cornered on being evil.

She only had brothers. Her mother couldn’t believe it. Her brothers are co-conspirators. The women now in her life believe her, but she lives in another country and … But, you are right. Women Also are and can be co-conspirators.

One of my childhood friends became a police officer. Both her husbands were police officers (the first was killed by a criminal). After her 2nd husband died, she had a heart attack at his funeral.
The problem with people today is that common sense, a sense of honor, and a moral compass have been eaten away by today’s political climate.

I am so sorry that you lost your friend, and for what she had to go through. I cannot imagine.
My best female friend from childhood, and ever-she will always be my best friend-joined the Marines. She is very very crazy. I love her dearly, but wow is she crazy. She and I have not spoken in years.
I realize that there are some really good female first responders, but there are not enough of them. By definition, encouraging women in these roles lowers standards, and then standards are lowered even more because most women don’t want to be in those roles.

Everyone has their opinions, and I respect your opinion. I’m simply adding “food for thought.”
There are places where a female officer is needed. When a woman is raped, she doesn’t want a male police officer who doesn’t understand, she wants a woman who understands what she is going through. In our history, men have been callous about it and believed that a woman “asked for it.”

Thank you, floridaborne, I respect your opinion as well.
There are good men and bad men, and good women and bad women. I was born in 1970. Nothing I have experienced or observed in life indicates to me that women are in general more sensitive or less callous than men are. I am certain that there are some male police officers who are insensitive to rape victims, and there are also female police officers who are just as callous. To think that we can solve this problem by hiring women is wishful thinking.
Women can be extremely evil, and they-we-often are. Maybe there was a time when women were kinder and gentler than men were? But that time has long since past, if it even existed at all.
To the extent that some female victims would prefer to deal with women, maybe having social workers or psychologists who work closely with the police in such cases would be a better answer. Most police work does not involve rape or domestic violence. Most of it involves traffic stops, chasing down criminals, kicking down doors, etc…stuff that men are just flat out better at.

I was born in 1950. By the 1970’s, “sexual harassment” classes for men were mandatory, and many couldn’t understand why they were no longer able to say things like “bend over so I can see what’s under your skirt.” The 70’s were a time of great change. By the time you were 20, the most of the change had occurred.
I don’t like affirmative action hiring. My 2nd husband was Jewish. After 3 years of working for a company, he was at a party where everyone was drinking. Tired of the slurs made by his boss, he asked the man why. His boss said, “I had a choice between a black and a Jew. I chose the Jew.
I agree that both men and women can be evil.

“Bend over so I can see what’s under your skirt.” OMG!!! You are right. I have never lived in a time or place where that sort of thing was acceptable. And the way that monster boss spoke to your husband is even worse.
I have definitely been Blessed to be surrounded my whole life by men who have almost always been very honorable. Virtually all of the grief in my life has been caused by other women. I am very thankful that we no longer live in the world that you describe. It just seems to me that most of the women who want to go to work for what they call “adult interaction” are mainly motivated by a desire to meddle in the business of other women. For instance. I worked as a waitress in a restaurant-in a lot of different restaurants, but at this particular restaurant, I was very open with the other waitresses about the fact that I didn’t really want to work and would have much referred to be a housewife. There were maybe 10 or 15 other women working there: every single one of them was adamant that they wanted to work. They said that they would be bored at home. As if slinging hash is an interesting way to spend time.
They spent most of their time at work gossiping about each other, backbiting, sniping, and complaining that others were supposedly not working as hard as they were. At one point, the hostess actually thanked me because I never asked her to send me home early! It turned out that all these other women who claimed to love working were constantly nagging the hostess to let them go home. The whole scene was just ridiculous, and in my experience, not unusual.
It just seems as though feminists make life hell for women who stay home, and then they make life hell for the women they work with. That isn’t even taking into account what they do to men, and if you try to call feminists on what are they doing, they try to play victim.
I am very thankful that men are being held to a higher standard than they were in the past. I just wish women could be held to some kind of standard too.

I was part of the feminist movement in the early 1970’s when Gloria Steinum started it. This was what women wanted at the time: To break through the glass ceiling at work (women couldn’t get past middle-management), to give a household manager (aka “housewife”) the credit and accolades she deserved, and to start using Ms. instead of Mrs. You have no idea about the outcry with the last one. It took YEARS for Ms. to replace Mrs. and Miss. Now, so-called feminists want to kill their babies. They don’t remember what the 1970’s feminist movement was all about.

But, abortion was legalized in 1973, at the behest of feminists. Gloria Steinem was and still is very much in favor of abortion-so much so that at one point she stated that women who disagree with her are not really women.

Steinem was the driving force moving the women’s movement forward. Somewhere in my attic lurks the very first copy of Ms. Magazine.
My reason for joining the feminist movement was to achieve true equality in the workplace, or to be respected if I wanted to be a household manager. That was the goal of most women back then.
Abortion within the first 3 months was legalized in some states in the 1970’s. That made sense, for it gave a woman enough notice to terminate before heartbeat. Nowadays, there are women aborting after the 4th month — up to the 9th — which, in my estimation, is murder.

Roe v Wade, which occurred in 1973, made abortion legal for the whole nine months, and Gloria Steinem has always supported that.
I think so much of this comes down to our personal experiences. Most of my aunts were homemakers, and their husbands adored them. My Dad fought in WWII, and my uncles were only a little bit younger than him. All of them had tremendous respect for women. I had one aunt who was a feminist. The men in the family never challenged her, but everyone was kind of puzzled by her, and I think her brothers were a little bit hurt by her feminism. I got the impression that the impression that the women in the family didn’t really understand her.
This aunt was very hostile toward any woman who wanted to stay home: she had no respect whatsoever for home makers, and she started telling me when I was 5 years old that I would have to fight in wars the way men did, because according to her, if women wanted equal rights they would have to take on equal responsibilities. She had no qualms about telling other women what to do, and fostering respect for individual choices played no role whatsoever in her thinking. From what I can tell, that was and still is typical of feminists-Hillary Clinton, for example.

Many GOOD men, like your aunts husbands, adored their wives and looked forward to coming home at night.
The point here is that if a woman wants to work in any field, there is no reason she shouldn’t have the same opportunities as long as there are GOOD men, who respect the women, working there. At the heart of the problem isn’t women working with men — it’s an abysmal lack of moral compass.

I have to disagree with you, here. There are some jobs that women are simply not qualified to do-military, fire department, and most aspects of policing.
I think that women who accept affirmative action, quotas and lowered standards are lacking a moral compass, especially in fields like medicine and fire fighting, where lives are at stake.
Between affirmative action and abortion, us women have to clean up our own act before we start telling men to get a moral compass. Women have done so much damage to America.

Also, no one, male or female, has a right to work anywhere. I have no right to tell a private company that they have to hire me. If a business owner only wants to hire men, that is totally his right. He may be wrong. I may decide to not buy from his business, but I would never use the force of law to force him to hire me or anyone else.
It’s a free country, or at least, it’s supposed to be. Business owners have a right to hire or not hire who they want. Under law, women must always have the right to start our own businesses, but we should have no right whatsoever to tell other people how to run theirs.

Business owners should have the right to hire the best candidate regardless of color, sex, or religion. I’m not arguing that. My husband was appalled that he was an affirmative action hire. He had excellent skills. He left the company and took another job. He passed away after 10 years of marriage. We had a 5 and 7 year old at the time.
My childhood friend was a good police officer, and her success is my argument that women can be effective in the police force.
